Once you have accumulated points from activity and passed AC, what do you do with the points left over?

We're glad you asked! Points are used as part of the game's wishing system. Check below, and you will see the baseline guide for spending those remaining points!

How does wishing actually work in-game?
Characters who make wishes in the game will cast a colorful stone into the wishing pond and make their wish. Thereafter (whenever the wish request is granted and it is narratively convenient), a crayon drawing of the wished-for thing will appear on your character's doorstep or in their mailbox. Before or after they look at the drawing, the item or request will be there for them.

What Can I Wish For?

POWER REGAINS	350	If your character lost their abilities/powers due to the last game they were in, they can regain it here. Any powers that are godly in nature will not be approved. Items that give characters their powers back in any capacity will also be considered power regains. Magical or skilled pets that are designed for battle (e.g., Pokemon and Dream Eaters) will also be considered power regains. They will have the same size limits as pets: No bigger than a small horse.

NEW POWERS	600	If your character would like to gain additional powers beyond those they had in their own canon/the game they were in, they can still wish for them or work to acquire them, but it will take more effort for Zephyr and cost more. Any powers that are godly in nature will not be approved, and the mods will exercise general discretion on what will be allowed. There should be a very good IC reason for the character to either work toward a power-up or request one. We may ask you to discuss this with us and provide proof of the IC growth of this idea/development of skills before we approve it.

LAND EXPANSION	1000	Land Expansion: The Meadous map will increase by half a mile in one direction. The player will be able to decide what the land exists as from our present variety of land areas: Forest, river, beach, jungle, mountains, etc. It will also be populated with that biome's present assortment of plants and animals. (For visual reference, the Meadous village area is one mile across.) New biome: The Meadous map will increase by half a mile in one direction, and the player may create a new biome to fill in that space. This includes land type and structure, as well as non-sapient flora and fauna that populate the area. Any additional space that is not used can be allocated to other currently existing biomes as the player wishes. New species: Create a new sapient species to inhabit a currently existing portion of the Meadous. Player will design the structure of the new civilization and both the cultural habits and base interactions/attitude with the Meadous residents. (Think along the lines of the Wasps or the Beetle tribe in the Jungle.) Zephyr Growth: Zephyr is a growing child and heavily influenced by their flock. Players can work with the mods to develop Zephyr through a physical alteration or a new ability. Be prepared to come to us with a good idea of what you want. **Must be a cooperative wish made by three or more people.** Note: All additions and changes will need to meet mod approval and mesh with the tone of the game. One wish from this section per player per month.

A note to remember: The current list is a general guideline! You can also wish/ask for something off of the provided categories, and we will give you a general price range and whether we would approve it or not. All wishes are on a case by case basis. While we encourage wishing, we also ask that there be a reason behind the wish in question.

As the world grows, players can wish for bigger items. Currently items cannot be any bigger than what can fit in a flatbed truck. Gundams, Big-O and zords are not allowed in the world. We do not permit mecha battles to take place, sadly.

As a general rule, unless your request is approved on this page by the mods, you cannot enact it ICLY. Requesting something does not mean you automatically get it.

Item: John would like to wish for the ability to control all mental/emotional influences on his person, expanding the ability he originally wished for to protect himself from Izzy's scrying. Since his arrival in the Meadous, he has learned that there are people who have mind-control abilities like Jeremy, who might have mind-control abilities like Renart, who have the ability to adjust someone's mental state at-will like Ienzo, who have the ability to read thoughts like Milla and Sasha, and who have magic that can influence emotions/mental processes like Phil. He doesn't want any of this to be able to touch him without his explicit consent.

The power would work that he would be able to sense any given mental influence/scrying (although not its source) and would auto-block it until he made the conscious decision to allow the intrusion/manipulation. He would be able to call up this mental barrier after the influence has started, but it would be more challenging for him and require a great deal of concentration. So, he'll have to be careful about whom he lets in.

I was thinking this would fall under the Major Building Renovation category since it's like... adding an addition to the house, but I want to be sure.

Item: I would like to get 14 months of in-game memory which I'd like to get for now, and one more pre-emptive for Gamzee way down the line (to make the numbers right). 15 months total equalling to 1750.

Points used: I will be using points from here using the recorded points from October 2016 to July 2017 (1350pts), with the addition of the 200 points each from August 2016 and 2017. This totals 1650. The remaing 100 points shall come from August 2015 for 100. This equals 1750.

Would the furniture be extra points? Cause I'm thinking big bed, a TV, the shower/toilet, a loveseat, a table, and a bookshelf/some storage tables or bins would be stuff they'd want in there.

Sherlock would need to know what he's asking for as Zephyr has no way to determine which versions are 'fictional.' 100 points would get Sherlock the complete works/fanfic of a particular iteration of Sherlock Holmes. It would cost extra points if the iteration required something like a game console to play.

As his wish stands now, Zephyr would likely assume he means he wants all fanworks related to himself and his own world. That would be 50 points if you're all right with that. The fanworks would come in the form of portfolios with pictures/photomanipulations, hard or paperback books (depending on the length of a particular fanwork), and SD cards that can be plugged into his laptop with gifs/fanvids with the SN or name of the author/creator written on the portfolio or book or in a README file on the SD cards. It's very likely Sherlock would recognize at least a few of these works as they would include in-universe fanwork that he and John have received or viewed online.

Ienzo's going to be trying to grow saplings from cuttings of the existing weird trees that have been wished for over time (chocolate, beer, takeout, haggis, etc)! However because these trees are special and because all the animals that have been wished for have been infertile, I imagine they'll require a little help from Zephyr to take root.

So! What exactly will happen when Ienzo tries to do this on his own (he'll also be planting cuttings of the multifruit trees as a sort of control experiment, which might be more successful?), and how many points would it take to actually get viable saplings out of them?

The saplings he tries to make from the wished for trees will wither and die. The multi-fruit trees can be grown, though! They'll act like regular trees, taking at least a year or two to grow to a viable size before they'll bear fruit.

If he wanted to wish for a little help getting his saplings to work for the other plants, it would be the same amount of points that it cost for the original tree minus 100 points. It would also take at least one year to grow to a viable size.

Fish that are going to be kept for pets would be 60 points each. Fish that a character would get to eat would be dead upon arrival and 50 points each. So, Meu's fish would be 420 points total for 7 betta fish in individual bowls.

Mycroft would definitely be interested in asking for some kind of surveillance system, but I'd like for it to backfire and end up becoming a delivery of two ravens that he can use to see and spy on with, like Ursula's eels in the Little Mermaid. Would this kind of thing be possible and how much would it cost? Mechanics wise I'd like him to be able to remotely see through the ravens (individually or separately), this remote viewing to be able to be turned on and off at will, and for them to follow simple mental commands (like being able to order them to go places via that thought/mind connection). Also they wouldn't be sentient, just very clever ravens.

So it's been stated that the world Eliza was previously in was being broadcasted as a television show, although there hasn't been much detail on whether it's become available to buy, especially since their "season" was basically the last one. Would it be possible for her to wish for a DVD set of her "season" anyways? And if so, would it be further possible for her to wish for a version of her "season" that changes the names/appearances of all the characters but keeps all the details of their interactions similar? Mainly because that's the only way I can see her voluntarily giving it to Sherlock to watch and solve. I do have contact info for the original mod, so I can ask them to clarify things as well.

EDIT: Also, would it be possible to use the wish system to wish for one of Eliza's Pokemon to evolve, but have the evolution happen IC as a result of training/winning a fight?

It would be possible for her to wish for a DVD of her 'season' that shows everything up to the last thing she remembers from it.

It would be possible for her to wish for what you're describing with changed appearances/names, but it would cost extra since it's not something at already actually exists and Zephyr would have to put extra effort into it. This would cost 100 points as opposed to the regular 50 points for a new possession that technically already exists.

It is very possible! You can put in the points here for the evolution (600 points since they'd be essentially gaining new powers), and then have it ICly happen from training/a fight.

This question is probably totally surprising because it's not like I've plurked about this or anything, but roughly how much would it cost to get started on apiculture networking? It would require a special hive and bees native to Alternia, and given the unique properties of the bees themselves and the honey they produce, I'm not sure what category it would fall under.

To clarify on this system. Is it something that Xan would need to get infrastructure together for, for every person who wants to be part of the apiculture network? How is it that communication happens? Do the bees just fly around and talk to each other in beenary?

So I'd sort of assumed it would be off the table, but now I'm curious about whether Stephen would be able to wish for the Eye of Agamotto as a power regain. The Eye is a casing that contains the Time Stone (warning for auto-loading video), one of six immensely powerful remnants of existence from before the beginning of the universe. In Stephen's hands, the Eye can be used to stop, rewind, or loop time. Also in Stephen's hands it can be used to fracture time and trap its wielder in an eternal time loop or erase him from existence if he does something stupid with it (also if the stone were taken out of its casing any mortal who touched it would almost certainly die a swift and terrible death). Stephen has previously proven capable of using the Eye to trap a god-like being in a time loop, so I suspect this may fall under "godly powers."

After some discussion, Stephen could wish for the Time Stone as a power regain (350 points), but it would be nerfed.

Stopping/rewinding time - this would only have a limited area of effect (about the size of a room) and would only work for up to five minutes.

Looping - Again, this would have a limited area of effect and looping would only last for up to 100 cycles, lasting no more than 5 minutes.

Existence - It will be contained before wiping Stephen from existence and time restored.

Touching the Eye - This could still cause serious harm, but Zephyr would step in before death happened.
