GODLY PUNISHMENTS

So, your character has started a fight or committed property damage? Zephyr has become slightly more relaxed about petty disputes, but they're still very concerned about their flock. While we understand some of these things can develop fluidly in the course of RP, the mods would like to be informed so that appropriate punishments can be doled out by Zephyr for fights or actions that result in moderate injury or property damage. For any severe injuries/destruction, we would like to be informed ahead of time to work out with you what the consequences of your character's actions will be.

The levels of punishment are listed below and are examples to draw from. Punishments can be tailored to a character, and we're happy to work with you on what would be most appropriate/fun for you to integrate if it isn't listed as an example.

Punishments end when characters apologize to Zephyr and the person they had a fight with.

Minor Infractions
Examples:

• Punching someone
  
• Knocking over someone's mailbox
  
• Defacing property with graffiti

Example Punishments:

• None - However, characters will be contacted by Zephyr to ask what was going on. This will be handwaved unless players specifically request otherwise.

Intermediate Infractions
Examples:

• Full on fist fight with more than 1 person where broken bones or significant cuts/bruising occur
  
• Destroying parts of a person's house
  
• Destroying public property

Example Punishments:

• Loss of Wishes - Any character who tries wishing when punished will find their wishing stone lobbed back out of the pond every time. This includes all OOC wishes being stalled out for a short period of time as well.
  
• Grounded - Characters will find themselves unable to leave the boundaries of their property. It's like there's a force field up and it's just for you.
  
• Harried by Help - Books regarding conflict resolution or healthy ways to deal with whatever the character has been experiencing that led to their violence will follow them around, wherever that character goes, until the books are read. The books are relentless, as well as seemingly everything-proof.
  
• Shame Mustache - A startlingly bright pink mustache will appear on your character's face and possibly itch thanks to the bristly hair. Itching intensity is up to player choice.
  
• Dress for Success - The clothes in a character's wardrobe are now all silly (whatever that may mean for the character) and incredibly NOT their style. Anything they're wearing or try to put on will snap to something they would consider unsuitable or annoying.
  
• Revenge of the Fluff - Congratulations you are now the proud owner of a house full of fluff. It gets on everything. It gets on you. It gets on visitors. There is always more of it. A never-ending supply of fluff in various colors. It would be fine if you could just leave it there, but it accumulates and will take over your house in a matter of days if you don't actually deal with it, even though there's no permanently dealing with it.
  
• The Scarlet Letters - A sign that cannot be moved, defaced, or covered in any way will be posted outside the character's house detailing their crimes and who they've hurt.

Major Infractions
Examples:

• Destroying whole houses or buildings
  
• Destroying wide swathes of nature
  
• Murder (either PCs or NPCs)

Notes: Bucky will react badly to anything that physically or mentally alters him (such as clumsiness), he'd react better to having his wishes curtailed. However, I'm unsure if he'd still get a punishment as he apologised to Undertaker immediately afterwards?

Bucky Barnes (advanced) - Bucky will lose his wishing privileges until he apologizes/speaks to Zephyr about the incident, as well. Since this occurred before the potential punishment changes and an apology to Zephyr has also typically been required for the lifting of punishments.

Type of Infraction: It's a fight! A kismesis fight but they haven't gotten the chance to explain that yet.

Notes: Shep and Izzy will explain that it's hate thing, probably, unless they decide to be bad at feelings. But Scarlet letter sounds cool to both of us if that is considered sufficient by Zephyr. Zephyr is further free to intervene at some point, as both are aiming to hurt and noses are being broken and teeth knocked out.

Izzekiel (carnagecarnival) and Jane Shepard (earthborn) - As Requested + Izzy and Shep will receive personal force fields around themselves that prevent the other from injuring them or knocking them down for the duration of their fight. These force fields will take effect pretty soon after the fight begins, but you guys can decide the opportune moment for it in your thread.

I'll have Zephyr follow up with each of them... when I am not on mobile tomorrow.

Type of Infraction: Murder. It's murder.
Link to Thread (if applicable): No thread, Justin is going to snap Sherlock's neck while Sherlock is out walking Black Bart the morning of June 2nd, then pin Sherlock's body to the wall in a fairly un-frequented location.

Notes: Justin is convinced he didn't actually do something wrong because Sherlock asked for it. Twice. So in Justin's opinion it's entirely consensual and entirely above board.

Punishments

Justin (deafscythe) - Due to the severity of Justin committing the first willful act of murder in the Meadous, he will be punished fairly severely, if you guys decide to proceed with this.

Minimum Punishments:

• Loss of wishing privileges
  
• Any time Justin attempts to attack someone or harm them in any way, a force field will be put up around that person to prevent the injury. This applies to personal property that does not belong to Justin, as well.
  
• Up until and for two days after Sherlock returns from the dead on June 4th, Justin will be subject to the Grounded punishment effect described above.
  
• The loss of his blue fluff. Sorry, Justin. You look like a normal Weapon again.

Optional Punishments you're free to enact if you desire:

• Any of the punishments listed under intermediate infractions.
  
• The loss of other wished for items WITH THE EXCEPTION OF Sneg, his prosthetic leg, and Grell's ring. Zephyr WILL NOT take those away from Justin.
  
• The removal of scarring, either partially or completely, healing Justin of his Facility-induced wounds.

Sherlock Holmes (howdull) - As Sherlock has also displayed his inability to play nice with the other kids, he will be experiencing a punishment of his own, as well. Any time Sherlock attempts to bait someone to commit murder or grievous bodily harm, a sound proof glass box will appear momentarily around him, preventing him from being heard. If he tries to write or draw to get around this, the writing and drawings will come out smudged. If he attempts to mime to get around this, his glass box will come equipped with a curtain on the outside that he can't remove.

Apologizing will not remove this effect. It will be active for a minimum of one month and up to three months, at your discretion.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

• Sherlock's body cannot be pinned to the wall, unfortunately. It can be pinned to a tree near the wall.
  
• Sherlock's body will simply vanish a few minutes after he's killed.
  
• Sherlock will be reappearing back at home after two days (on June 4th) feeling groggy and a bit queasy. These effects will dissipate over the course of the day and will be gone by the next day.
  
• Zephyr will be openly announcing what happened to avoid any and all confusion about why Sherlock is gone.

For the record out of the optional punishments I'm doing a complete scar reset and also scarlet letters. EDIT: and resetting his weapon form so he's a guillotine again

I'm assuming the body alterations (including fluff removal) are permanent (if not let me know) but for everything else is there a minimum punishment time or do things just end once Sherlock is back and Justin apologizes?

The fluff and scar removal are, indeed, permanent! The Weapon form change may be permanent or it can be reinstated after a minimum of one month or whenever Justin apologizes (whichever is sooner), at your discretion.

In this instance, Zephyr is going to require more than just a token apology. They are going to need to believe that Justin means what he's saying for it to work.

Justin Law (deafscythe) - Justin will receive a Shame Mustache for a minimum of three days. In addition, he will be Harried By Help in the form of the Meet Your Heart trilogy. The books almost always seem to fall open to helpfully highlighted passages about how much it hurts to have your Heart touched.

Notes: Grounded would be ironic as he was trying to run away at the time, scarlet letters would be just, and harried by help (untreated/unchecked PTSD with violent/anger symptoms) would make sense. So any of those three, whichever the mods which to inflict!

Type of Infraction: Going overboard on Zephyr's Friend or Foe game, Renart foe'd Justin by turning him into a rabbit and hunting him with her fox kits.

Notes: Nothing that means Renart loses her foxiness, that would be traumatizing to her.

Renart aigue - as much as necessary, Zephyr will step in before this becomes a successful rabbit hunt, and will make sure the Justin-bunny gets home safely. That makes this an intermediate infraction. Renart will be Grounded, and Dress for Success will be in effect: all of her clothing will transform into various bunny costumes. Finally, pick a food Renart doesn't like, because that's what everything she eats tastes like now.
