These are some of the ideas we've come up with, but we always welcome Event Suggestions. Please let us know what you'd like to be doing! We're aiming for a mod-based event every month or so.
DETAILS: Zephyr's recently been experimenting with making drinks thanks to a little kit Ara got for them as a present. So, for one day only, everyone in the Meadous will get to enjoy a taste-testing festival! Set up in the Meadous, there will be booths for different drinks. Fizzy drinks, alcoholic drinks, sweet drinks, bitter drinks, colorful drinks, magic and mundane drinks! If you can think of it, Zephyr's probably been experimenting with it. Some of the drinks will have silly, simple effects akin to what was seen during the Grim Grinning Ghosts Halloween event along with some that have temporary boosting effects, like making you faster or stronger.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: A sub-thread in the regular spring season change post will go up for this event since it will only be lasting a day. Zephyr will be available for interaction during it, should you so desire.
If your character is adventurous, they can experience a wide range of tastes and abilities (or pranks) associated with Zephyr's drinks. Effects will only last a few minutes to a few hours here, so they can experience multiple effects in a day. Just be careful not to drink too much or you'll get a stomach ache!
DETAILS: Spring has come at last to the Meadous, as suddenly as ever. Not a trace of snow remains, the world now covered in lush, bright new grasses, budding trees, and wildflowers. The landscape is thriving again, awakened from its slumber of winter. Those who make attempts at growing early in the season will find their crops growing much faster than they might expect, turning into fantastic gardens in something of a snap. They'll also find the plants bear a great deal of extra fruit/tubers/whathaveyous thanks to Deei's boon placed upon the Meadous.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: It's spring! Picnics, swimming in the lake, the return of dormant animals and plants, climbing trees, and everything else to go with the season. The Meadous continues to evolve with the world around gaining complexity. A few species of plants are now many, and they seem to grow in more natural patterns. The Wishing Pond is still dominated by ducklings, but there are older ducks, too, mixed in amongst the flock.
TITLE: Egg Rolling Right Along (Player Recommended) DATES: April 4th - April 11th
DETAILS: It's Easter time! And Easter means Zephyr has no idea what they're doing. But they know that you're meant to get gifts at Easter and that there are people who liked it a lot when they were little. Accordingly, Zephyr will be indulging in handing out gift baskets to their flock, and sponsoring various activities surrounding eggs. Painting them, running with them, rolling them, and hunting them.
And why not have some of their flock as children to enjoy it more, while they're at it?
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: We'll be putting up a log for planning purposes one week before the event starts and have an open IC log with sub-threads for different events over the course of the week. As for the mention of age shenanigans, this is the chance for characters to re-experience their childhood, either physically, mentally, or both.
Zephyr knows that you need grown-ups to look after children, so not everyone will be affected (this is an opt-out). Those who are affected may take things as they wish. They can experience being:
- Physically aged down while retaining their adult mentality; or - Physically and mentally aged down.
This can be for a few hours, one day, or the entire event. Characters can notice there's something different/wrong or assume they've always been this age in the Meadous. They will retain their sense of belonging here, though, however Zephyr's magic affects them. We'd also ask that mental/physical aging down stay at 6-years-old or above to align with Zephyr's 'age.'
TITLE: Psycho-Not (Player Recommended) DATES: May 9th - May 16th
DETAILS: Zephyr has just started school and they have their very first homework assignment. They're really excited about this one. It's something that they know they need particular work on to make sure things like the Rift don't happen again. Zephyr has been tasked with sharing the abilities of one of their flock to the others in the Meadous to see how they handle the power and to make sure they can keep an eye on everything at once. They've chosen Lili and her abilities as a Psychonaut to share with everyone!
Have you ever wanted to be able to levitate? See something through other people's eyes (literally)? Or perhaps enter into someone's mindscape and interact with it? Well, here is your chance!
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: We'll be putting up a log for planning purposes one week before the event starts and have an open IC log for anyone who wishes to participate in this event. Zephyr will announce their intentions for this homework assignment at the beginning of the month and characters can chime in if they'd like to participate. You may also hand-wave your character agreeing to participate. Please remember, this event is the first that will be OPT-IN. If your character would refuse the powers, then Zephyr will not force it on them. Now, what other characters who have been given power do with it... well.
Characters will be given the abilities of Psychonauts, trained psychic spies. These include an array of abilities. Generally speaking, those with more mental control will be able to use the abilities more competently than others, but everyone will be at the same general level. No one will be able to set the forest on fire, but they might set a few branches, for instance.
Each character will also be granted a door that they can use to enter the mindscape of other characters. This concept will be discussed more in detail as we move closer to the event, but THIS provides a general guide to mindscapes and THIS is an example of a mindscape developed by one of the players for a thread involving Lili's Psychonaut abilities, as an example.
DETAILS: Summer has come to the Meadous, as suddenly as ever. Lush, colorful wildflowers have given way to thick grasses swaying in the light breeze. The sky is bright blue most days with fluffy white clouds dotting the sky. The occasional thunderstorm rattles your shutters, but they pass without any significant damage - a few downed branches here and there in the forest. The days are hot, and shadows cool, and the nights are lit with lightning bugs, flitting into the charcoal sky on iridescent wings and imagination.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: It's summer! And Zephyr works on the principle that The Dog Days are pretty much exclusively what summer is about. Hit the water to cool off, go fishing, fly a kite, enjoy the ice cream that's turned up in your freezer, and relax in the lazy heat of the day and night. For those who keep track of such things, they'll notice that more and more variation has begun to appear in the vegetation and animals of the Meadous.
The poll conducted earlier in the year will also be coming into effect. Counter intuitively to residents of Earth, the nights are actually longer in the summer for the Meadous. The crystal moon shines brightly down on the place, though. New plants begin to appear, ones that only seem to bloom at night and have dark red and silver leaves.
TITLE: Setting Expansion: Go North! DATES: June 1st
DETAILS: With the experience they've been gaining over the past almost-year, Zephyr is finally ready to expand the Meadous. They will be doubling in size and a new landscape will appear to the north for characters to explore. What landscape? A complex of dunes, more tropical 'forests,' and for those intrepid explorers trekking it, an ocean for the river that runs through the Meadous to empty into.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Come taste the summer breeze, The salty air, the great blue seas!
There will be new colorful creatures to catch such as lobsters and crabs, seashells to collect, tide pools to explore, beach parties to have, and cookouts and camping adventures to enjoy along with swimming in this little slice of ocean.
DETAILS: A visitor has appeared in the Meadous. One that Zephyr seems perfectly happy to parade about. Who are they? Why are they here? Are they another Pai, a chaotic god of destruction, or someone more like Ara, a... much nicer chaotic god of destruction? Only time will tell with this one.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: This new visitor will be hanging around the Meadous until the end of July. As such, they will be available for a number of activities! At the moment, they are currently living in a sand castle by the beach and acquainting themselves with both the landscape and the inhabitants. This sand castle is available for exploration if characters would like to do so. Stay tuned for more as the month goes on!
TITLE: Season Change: Autumn DATES: September 22nd
DETAILS: Autumn descends upon the Meadous in a flurry of colorful leaves, the transition as abrupt as anything. One day, you wake up to warm, sunny skies with puffs of white clouds, and the next, there's a crisp chill in the air, the scent of fires crackling on the breeze, and a riot of colors from the trees as leaves shade from green to reds, golds, and oranges. Everyone will find that the crops they've planted are thick, huge, ready for a harvest! Perhaps you can get your neighbors to help with all that corn.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: As ever, there will be a pumpkin maze at the center of the Meadous for characters to play in and explore. Zephyr's rather fond of them. In the evening, they'll find that some pumpkins have been cut into jack-o-lanterns already and they glow brightly. Autumn is a time for harvest, food, and family. Characters may find strategically-placed piles of leaves that look primed for jumping into, spiced cider in their cupboards, and extra supplies for canning, pickling, and the like. Zephyr's trying to help as much as they can!
Additionally, for those noticing these things, the animals who typically go dormant during these times of year will, indeed, begin to go dormant, fading from a large presence in the Meadous as the season passes on.
TITLE: Dreams Come True! DATES: August 1st - August 31st
DETAILS: Zephyr's next school assignment is in-coming! This time, they're learning about the power of hopes, dreams, and aspirations. It's really only needed to do with one person, but Zephyr doesn't think that's fair to everyone else in the Meadous. Everyone has dreams, after all! And they might still be feeling just a little sore that the Rift ruined their last dream event. So, this time, they're bringing your dreams to the waking world.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Zephyr will announce their intentions for this homework assignment at the end of July and characters can chime in if they'd like to participate. You may also hand-wave your character agreeing to participate. Please remember, this event is OPT-IN. If your character would refuse to have their dreams change the Meadous, then Zephyr will not force it on them.
For those who opt-in, each day for the month, the characters will take turns having their dreams made into 'reality' in the Meadous. It can be something surreal (e.g. Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds), something that's more grounded (e.g., dreaming that the Meadous has turned into your native home), or something that's just weird (e.g., maybe you've been dreaming about being in space or underwater or in a world where everyone flies to get around).
The one caveat is that dreams should not be overtly dangerous, and Zephyr will consciously tone down dangerous things. If the Meadous is suddenly underwater or in space? Congrats! You can all breathe just fine. If the Medous now has pits filled with lions, they are lions who will maul you... with cuddles and affection. Anything truly hazardous will be marked as such to ensure everyone can stay safe and not have to deal with anything dangerous if they don't want to.
TITLE: Mm... Whatcha Say? (Player Recommended) DATES: September 12th - September 19th
DETAILS: While Zepyhr's writing their report on everything to come out of their dream assignment, one of their classmates has decided to take a look in on the Meadous. One of their decidedly jealous classmates. Zephyr has far too many gold stars next to their name. How would their little world and flock fare if they can't communicate with one another, hmm?
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Because of wibbly-wobbly god plane time, Zephyr's not going to notice that there's any issue with the Meadous until about a week of in-game time. For them, it was only a few minutes! They'll be very apologetic. In the meanwhile, your characters will find that the automatic translation they've been enjoying in the Meadous is no more.
If you speak the same language? Great! You can still communicate? If not? Welp. Maybe you should break out the hand signs. Or head to the library for an English-to-Alternian dictionary? Translation spells and mechanical translation devices will only get you so far if you attempt them, as well. The magic will wear off after only a few seconds and the devices will have a seemingly impossible failure. Zephyr's classmate is not a happy camper and doesn't want you undermining their efforts, after all.
TITLE: Welcome to the Jungle DATES: October 24th - October 31st
DETAILS: To make up for the recent naughtiness of their classmate, Zephyr's decided to use their next class assignment to help everyone have some fun. This time, they're learning about different biomes and world types. Zephyr's become fascinated with jungles after receiving a picture book on them from one of their relatives, and now it's time to see what sorts of cool things they can create!
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Zephyr will announce their intentions for this homework assignment at the beginning of the month. This is a LIMITED SETTING CHANGE, affecting the thin jungle area to the north of the settlement, and which stands between the Village and the Dunes. Because of this, Zephyr will not be asking permission, but will be offering a warning to characters, as well as highlighting a path they'll be creating specifically for characters who just want to move past the jungle and get to the beach.
For those who venture within, you'll be confronted with pastel jungle creatures, strange ruins, and all manner of jungle excitement. The jungle will seem to expand to much bigger than it ever really was looking from the outside in. Perhaps you'll have to face some strange and exciting challenge when you find a ruin. Bring your whip and Indiana Jones hat!
DETAILS: This is the first of our monthly 'challenges.' These will be ongoing issues in the Meadous until players directly address them (or just wait them out if they're seasonal).
You know that sense of being watched? It's that creeping feeling on the back of your neck as your hairs prickle. Characters will begin to experience this sensation when they walk into the woods around the Meadous. They might also notice that they're getting poked by branches or tripping over roots more often than they once were. Looking around in the forest seems to produce no obvious source of the disturbance. But they might be able to almost make out voices in the wind when the wind rustles the leaves above their heads.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Characters will need to figure out what's going on. They can do this in any number of ways. Perhaps if the forest is giving them trouble, they can try to talk to it. Plants... like being talked to, right? Or if they're more the industrious sort, they could simply clear some new and solid trails. Cut back that pesky foliage if it's prodding people! Asking Zephyr will produce a confused response, but they're welcome to try that, as well. Really, anything they can think of. There's no set solution to this.
DETAILS: The animals of the forest seem to be have developed something of a wild streak. Not in terms of attacking anyone, but they've decided to take to the pond when it ices over. This wouldn't be a problem... if elk, bunnies, and boar could actually skate. Animals from throughout the forest will find themselves stranded on the ice while the pond is frozen over. Some may be injured, others will simply be struggling.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Care to help and helpless elk? Or maybe you'll take advantage of the 'bounty' and easy pickings. Characters can either aid or hunt the animals that become stranded on the ice. They can also attempt to stop the strandings. A fence around the lake? An awareness campaign with posters nailed to trees about the dangers of ice play? Again, it's up to the characters to address how they're going to deal with the ongoing problems created.
DETAILS: Winter falls thick upon the Meadous in a blanket of snowy white, the transition as abrupt as anything. One day, you wake up to crisp air, colorful piles of leaves and pumpkins, and the next, the wind turns bitingly cold, snow covers everything south of the sand dunes, and slate gray dominates much of the heavens for the days. The clouds do seem to break in the evenings, though, showing bright, twinkling red stars above, along with a beautiful aurora for any of those who venture up north to the beach at night.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Sleds, skis, ski boots, snow shoes, and ice skates will be found within every home. It's Zephyr's way of encouraging a little seasonal fun! The snow is piled thick each day, but Zephyr seems to be kind enough this year to keep the paths around the village clear. Wanna build a snowman? Make snow angels? Sip cider and chatter by a fireside? In the Meeting Tent, characters will find that a large white bear has taken up residence. It wears a Santa hat and has a cooler filled with off-brand soda that tastes suspiciously like cola. It's happy to pass these around to anyone who visits. It never seems to run out, and is rarely seen without a bottle in its paw.
Additionally, for those noticing these things, the animals who are typically go dormant during this time of year (Mr. Bear excepting) will be dormant, fading from a large presence in the Meadous as the season passes on. In place of the usual dawn chorus, those who keep track of the birds will notice those shaped like more wintry species. Though, as ever, they're colored in pastel.
TITLE: Toy Story DATES: November 21st - November 28th
DETAILS: Zephyr promised to be more careful with the Meadous, to never leave it unattended, and they're been holding to that promise ever since. But they're still just a young god, and try as they might, there are moments when their world is left unattended. There's no malice in it when another godling knocks the Meadous off the table when Zephyr goes to speak with Teacher about something. There's not the slightest bit of malice... but that doesn't stop the trouble.
A great earthquake seems to rock the Meadous, the whole world spins, and when everything finally settles, houses are in a mess, elk are hanging in trees, and some of those who have called the Meadous home will have been flung from it out into the god plane. The very busy god place where there are towering young creatures, some of them with full forms, some more amorphous. Characters will have to navigate past precocious and possibly less friendly youngsters to get to Zephyr and/or the Meadous.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Those who elect will be cast out of the Meadous and into Zephyr's classroom. They'll be faced with the challenge of either gaining Zephyr's attention or trying to get past gods who do not know or regard them as their own. Some will be helpful, some will be jealous, some will have no idea what they're doing at all. It's a mixed bag, and some characters may not want to draw the attention of young gods. Not all of them are like Zephyr... and Pai is not the only angry childgod out there. There will be a chance of injury to characters who elect to be flung out.
For those who remain in the Meadous, there's a very big mess left after the tumble. Zephyr will return to fix things before the week is fully out, but they're also going to be frantically searching for their flock once they realize some are gone. So they may not be the most attentive god for that period. There will be the chance of injury for those who remain in the Meadous from the tumble they endure.
For characters outside in the godplane, it will seem only a few hours that they're there, but for those inside in the Meadous, it will seem like a week that people have just suddenly disappeared and Zephyr's been away.
TITLE: Gifted DATES: December 19th - December 26th
DETAILS: Zephyr has a new assignment and this time it's a group project! It's more practice with handing out abilities. Gifts, after a fashion. All of the gods in the group will be contributing. For those who sign up, they will be warned that there might be a few hitches related to this latest assignment, but Zephyr has confidence in their partners.
They probably shouldn't. Characters will find their gifts going awry over the course of a week. Have you always wanted to fly? Congratulations! You can do so whenever you want... and then always... why can't you touch back down?! Similar gifts-turned-curse will be the theme of the event.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: As long as the curse associated with the gift is in the vein of 'too much of a good thing,' the sky's the limit. Zephyr's partners aren't being malicious, they're just not as familiar with limits for what's good as Zephyr is. The little god will try to play damage control and those who ask for help may find the irritating aspects of their gifts abate for a time, but they'll return until all of the abilities disappear at the end of the assignment.
More details will be announced in the OOC planning post one week before the event goes up. This event will kick off the action for the main metaplot of We the Lost.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: This will be a 4th Wall event. Characters will be allowed who are both CRAU and straight out of canon. For those daring souls, there will be a third option to play characters CRAU'd and placed into other godling's lands. Characters will also have the chance to explore a few other gods and godlings' lands while the issue of the walls falling is dealt with on the god plane.
TITLE: Leap Frogs DATES: February 27th - February 29th
DETAILS: There's a colorful infestation of frogs come to the Meadous. They'll be confined to the jungle area north of the village and around the Wishing Pond where the weather of the Meadous is kept relatively warm and temperate. If caught and taken out of these areas, frogs will transform into colorful origami frogs. If anyone tries to unfold them, they will refold themselves when no one is looking. Hurting the frogs when they're in living or origami form will earn characters a feeling of disapproval hanging over their head for a while. Zephyr is judging you.
Of course, characters may decide to refrain from touching the frogs too much when they discover that the creatures induce memories. Holding a frog will bring an intense remembrance of one event from their past or future.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Characters can muck about with the frogs to a point, but hurting them will earn a general godly disapproval from Zephyr, mild as it might be. The more interesting effects of holding the frogs can have your character remembering and experiencing past canon or game events or canon future events that they may not have had the chance to experience in their own game timeline. Memories may run from joyful to sad, but please try to avoid too much screaming horror in deference to the tone of the game!
DETAILS: There's a new dog in the Meadous. It's not one that's been seen before, and it doesn't seem to belong to anyone. It's... a little bit strange, and likes to hang around and beg for things. It can be seen playing with the non-pastel fox that's been seen in the Meadous before on occasion, getting nipped and rolled over, and generally beat up. The dog seems to take it in relatively good humor, though.
Would you like to pet it? Maybe this is the fox's friend!
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: There will be an initial log for interacting with the dog (and possibly the fox). It's friendly! And there's a vague sense of familiarity some might get from it, though they won't be able to trace where that familiarity lies. The dog will be out and about the Meadous, though, mostly playing in the forest, but occasionally found out in the open. It's a little more elusive than the fox characters might have seen before, but it's not unfriendly. Anyone asking about the dog or the fox will receive non-committal responses from Zephyr, which may be, in and of themselves, very curious.
DETAILS: There's nothing wrong with a few jellyfish. They're neat to look at, colorful, and just so long as you keep your distance, there shouldn't be a problem. The problem is that they aren't keeping their distance. These are especially curious jellyfish. In fact, they're washing up right onto the seashore, and there are a lot of them. Care to help a few? Mind their stings, though! They cause some... mild hallucinations.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Jellyfish will be washing up along the beach in the Meadous. They're small and rather abundant and kind souls can toss them back into the water if they wish. Kind souls will also find that they are rewarded with stings. They aren't too bad as far as pain goes, but those who are stung will begin to hallucinate that there are jellyfish swimming in the air all around them. In fact, it's not just jellyfish, it's a whole ocean's worth of sea creatures following them around and filling up the air. They will feel real to the touch for the person hallucinating, but they might look like a lunatic to anyone watching. The effect will fade after an hour or so.
TITLE: No Default In Our Stars DATES: March 12th - March 19th
DETAILS: Zephyr is learning quite a lot about the night sky from their flock lately. They're still deciding on what to do with the length of the nights, but they have another question for their star-gazers: What constellations do they see? Zephyr is soliciting for ideas on what some of their fixed and brightest constellations should be in the night sky.
Characters may find themselves inspired as there will be regular meteor-showers throughout the week with... a little bit of rock candy raining down on the Meadous each night to be picked up in the morning or eaten by enterprising forest creatures. Zephyr will note for characters that eating the rock candy will produce an extra burst of creativity for a short while.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: This will be a contest! Characters will be asked to ICly submit ideas for constellations they see in the sky (make use of that Observatory, kids), and have a story to go with the constellation they describe. This will be held as an OOC competition, as well, with a prize for the winner.
Everyone who submits ideas will have their constellations added as permanent fixtures to the night sky of the Meadous. It will be primarily writing-based with people submitting stories/fables related to their constellation and everyone voting for their favorite story. Artists are welcome to draw their constellation, as well!
For those not participating in the contest, there will also be the added effect of the rock candy and the opportunity to just observe lots of shooting stars across the Meadous. The burst of creativity can help them speed up progress on a project they're working on or get them started on something new and different.
TITLE: The 1st Annual Mega Meadous Ultratastic Tourney de Monsterlicious Championship Contest DATES: April 16th - April 23rd
DETAILS: Zephyr told Hajime they would see about rounding up some small monsters for a fighting tournament in the Meadous. Well, here they are! Characters will be invited to participate and battle monsters or each other to determine the ultimate Meadous champion! Zephyr will be on hand as both battle judge and medic. Just in case.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: For the battle-inclined, this will be a chance to work off some steam as you face down monsters or face off with each other. Participation will be down through an IC sign-up at the beginning of the month. Participating characters will be put into brackets along with monsters and work their way toward the final showdown.
For those not battle-inclined, there will be an opportunity to interact with some of the monsters in a non-fight context and maybe learn a little more about them. Some do have the ability to communicate and speak. Maybe they can tell you a little more about what they are and what's in the place between worlds!
TITLE: Setting Expansion: Go Tell It On a Mountain! DATES: May 7th
DETAILS: With the experience and power they've been gaining (along with input from their flock), Zephyr is ready to expand the Meadous once more. They will be doubling in size, again and a new landscape will appear to the west for characters to explore. What landscape? A vast tropical forest, and mountains with caverns and caves of all shapes and sizes. And bats. There are a lot of bats. A few of the mountain peaks even reach high enough to have a permanent snow cover. There's a little ski lodge on the highest peak attended to by snowcreatures that will provide direction toward sleds and sets of skis.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Think like a mountain...
There will be new section of the landscape to explore with caves that hold new and interesting crystals, gems, and minerals of all sorts. Perhaps someone might want to take up mining? There are also new animals that come along with the mountains and jungles. Many varieties of bats and tropical birds plus new sorts of raptors for the mountains. Mountain lions, leopards, and all manner of big cats where you'd expect to find them along with monkeys and lemurs and all manner of standard jungle or mountain fauna. There is also a bug tribe living out there in that jungle. They are about waist-high beetles and pretty friendly if you're nice to them. If you're mean, they'll wave their legs at you fiercely and probably charge. Maybe don't be mean.
DETAILS: A pirate's life is a wonderful life, and a pirates life have we! Or at least the duck, parrot, and seagull crew of the mighty and fierce Deep Blue are living the enjoyable pirate bird life. A full-sized pirate vessel will take up residence off the shore of the Meadous. Any beach-goers who hang out at the beach too long may find themselves hailed and threatened with kidnapping... or welcomed to join the crew if they have some food on them. Crackers would be especially nice. But either way, anyone actually getting onto the ship will get to enjoy a fine sail around the seas of the Meadous with the fearsome Captain Benjamin as their guide. He'll wait for a good few people to be 'kidnapped' before setting sail properly and will be offering these... 'kidnappings' twice daily throughout the week. They enjoy kidnapping people, on the whole, as pirates, so they'll let you go after a few hours. All the better to catch you again!!!
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: Enjoy a leisurely cruise around the sea and perhaps even get caught up in some piratical intrigue - a dramatic mutiny!? Well, it's always good excitement when you're kidnapped by pirate birds. Anyone wishing to assist in the sailing of the vessel can also learn some basics of sailing along with knot-tying. How birds can work their feet and feathers like that to tie knots... only the Disney characters probably know.
TITLE: The Way Through the Woods DATES: June 4th - June 30th
DETAILS: There's a man wandering in the Meadous. He's singing to the trees and hugging them, rolling in the grass, playing fetch with the dog and generally just enjoying himself. There's a new hill house that's farther away from the others, right up near the Wishing Pond, but it looks... different from the others. For one thing, it's covered in flowers and vines. For another, there's no mailbox or name.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS?: There is a visitor to the Meadous, one who's taken an interest in the trees and their strange whispering, in particular. This will be a limited window interaction that will have the chance to affect a major aspect of the Meadous. Specifically, this will be the resolution of The Trees Have Eyes ongoing challenge, one way or the other!
